Our printed luxury ring shoulder boxes – 46 x 46 x 40 mm – are coloured inside and out with a trim,
and is complete with a soft black velvet style insert backed by foam – ideal for presentation,

These strong boxes are made from 900gsm card and wrapped in 120gsm paper.

How are gift boxes printed?
We are meticulous when it comes to print as we have been printing (using a range of techniques)
in-house for decades. We are always on hand to help and advise, you can call or email our team any time.
When you buy from APL Packaging you are buying from a professional, reliable and trustworthy business.
Your boxes will be skillfully hand printed in-house using our hot foil machine.
Your logo/text is printed onto the lid of the box in a single colour, for best results we print clear text or images –
this helps ensure you have a professional crisp image.
- Maximum print area of 36mm x 36mm
- Match your boxes with your brand; choose from 13 standard colours of foil
- We can source an extensive range of foil colours so if there’s a colour you can’t find please get in touch!
- For a contemporary look you can have an embossed finish without foil (blind print).

Set-up fee
The set-up fee you’re seeing on your first order covers the cost of creating a printing plate.
This plate is used in the printing process to ensure that your boxes turn out exactly how you envision them.
The set-up fee is a one-time charge, unless you decide to make changes to your design in the future.
We’re here to make the printing process as smooth and cost-effective as possible for you.
Environment
Our boxes are produced using greyboard – a mix of recycled and waste paper and is 100% Recyclable.
The outer wrap paper is recyclable and where possible the paper is sourced from FSC certified suppliers.
Foil stamping is eco-friendly!
You should have no concerns about any negative long-term effects that your designs will have
on the environment.
- Foil printing is a totally dry, solvent free process
- Paper & board that has been foil stamped can be recycled
Independent studies show foil has no visible effects in slowing down the rate of biodegradation
of the paper & board.
Foil also does not affect the repulpability of the paper substrate.
A study carried out by FSEA/PIRA has found that the foil, like ink, can be successfully removed
by the flotation de-inking process with no particles remaining once the paper was re-pulped.

Artwork
After placing your order, please email your artwork to [email protected] stating your order number; with any instructions of design. For best results, send it over as one of the following files:
- 300dpi JPG / JPEG
- PNG
- EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
- AI (Adobe Illustrator)
- SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics)
Please be aware that by default we will position your artwork in the middle of the printable area. If you have any requirements, please email details over with your artwork. Once we've got everything we need, we'll quickly get back to you with proof. Please note in busy business periods this may take up to 2 working days.
One off set up charge
The one off set up charge, or 'origination', covers the cost of the printing block for foil printed boxes or the cost of proof, production of film and the printing screen for silk screen printing (for paper laminate bags, jute, and cotton) or flexographic plates (for kraft paper twist or tape handle bags, or polythene bags). The charge is always shown on the price grid of this page, or on your cart.
There is no set up charge for repeat orders, unless you decide to update your design.
